We Southerners pride ourselves on living in a small town, while our town may be small, our community focus is very large. AFTA has undertaken a project that will focus on the rebuilding and growth of a section of Pickens that was destroyed by fire in the late 60's. When the fire burned our school down, Pickens County Training School, it destroyed the heartbeat of our community, our goal is to get the heartbeat back again!
